This course introduces the audience to the Cisco IOS® XR Software router operating system and some of its fundamental features. The course modules will introduce the available hardware configurations, operation, routing protocol implementation, security, and other topics. Hands-on lab exercises will enhance and reinforce student understanding. This course does not target a specific hardware platform.

This intensive, four-day hands-on course provides Cisco service provider customers with an advanced look at popular IPv4 routing protocols supported in Cisco® IOS® XR Software Release 3.5.2. The XIPV4R course investigates the intricacies of Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) operation with Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS) Protocol labs that engage the student in a detailed examination of the routing database and the effects of many protocol options. The complexities of large-scale routing using the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) are then explored, with an emphasis on scaling large networks using route reflection and confederations.

The Supporting Cisco® Service Provider IP NGN Operations (SSPO) Version 1.0 course iis designed to introduce entry-level personnel to the service provider network operations
environment, processes orientation, and management tools and methods and enables students to practice the primary job roles and tasks. The course is also intended to help
prepare students for the CCNA: SP Operations certification exam. Cisco Certified Network Associate in Service Provider Operations (CCNA SP Operations) validates basic
knowledge and skills of a Tier I support engineer in a prescriptive troubleshooting environment within a carrier-class IP Next-Generation Network (NGN) core infrastructure.

This class will provide you with the information required to implement various broadband aggregation technologies on Cisco Systems routers, including routed bridge encapsulation (RBE), Point-to-Point Protocol over ATM (PPPoA), Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE), and Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). Nine lab sessions help you practice the techniques taught to ensure you are able to implement the technologies on your network. Implementing Advanced Cisco® IP Multicast (MCAST) Version 2.0 provides students with in-depth knowledge about the IP multicast building blocks that make this IP service deployable. Bandwidth and processing power are wasted when data is replicated and sent from a source to potential receivers multiple times. With IP multicast and a sophisticated group of protocols, information is delivered with minimal effects on bandwidth and processor load. This IP service helps ensure simultaneous information delivery only to the people and the machines that require the information.

This course is for customer technicians, system integrators, and system engineers who need to implement the Intelligent Service Gateway (ISG) on Cisco® routers. The course focuses on understanding the ISG features and functions, a structured approach to configuring ISG, and useful verification commands. The course includes hands-on exercises that aid in configuring and verifying ISG and understanding ISG operation using a remote lab.

The Cisco® Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) 3.0 course covers primary cable modem termination system (CMTS) standards and concepts, provides hands-on expertise, and establishes important foundation knowledge for bidirectional channel bonding and other advanced-service cable technologies. While this course focuses on implementing DOCSIS® services on the Cisco uBR10012, the learning experiences from this course also apply to other CMTSs that support DOCSIS 3.0 technology.

You will able to create and configure secure domain routers (SDRs) and define what process placement is and how placement polices are used in a Cisco CRS-1 multishelf routing system. You will learn how to troubleshoot the Cisco CRS-1 multishelf switch fabric and control Ethernet issues using command-line interface (CLI) commands.

(SDRs), deploy common routing protocols, implement IP Multicast, and deploy Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) traffic engineering and MPLS layer 3 VPNs in the
classroom environment. You will also use Route Policy Language (RPL) to deploy largescale routing configurations and perform basic troubleshooting. This course combines
lecture materials and hands-on labs throughout to ensure that you are able to successfully deploy a Cisco CRS-1 Carrier Routing System network.

This course enables you to learn about the features, functionality, characteristics, and connectivity options of Cisco® 10000 Series Routers with Performance Routing Engine 2
(PRE-2). It includes detailed platform-specific information on leased-line applications, hardware components and interfaces, software, PRE-2 architecture and functionality,
packet flows, high availability, quality of service (QoS), and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology. You learn how to configure and verify operation of leased-line
features and perform maintenance procedures, PRE-2 switchovers, and booting of the system using Cisco IOS® Software commands. Hands-on lab exercises reinforce these
learning objectives.
