The Cisco 360 CCIE R&S Advanced Workshop 1 (CIERS-1) teaches learners how to use an expert-level problem-solving process that includes options analysis to support complex network technologies and topologies. This course is part of a blended learning curriculum that supports expert-level preparation in routing and switching.
Objectives
Upon finishing this course, you will be able to:
Describe the Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE R&S and explain how it addresses expert-level networking issues
Discuss your baseline status for Cisco CCIE® lab readiness
Resolve expert-level core task analysis and configuration issues
Resolve expert-level BGP issues
Resolve expert-level multicast task analysis and configuration issues
Resolve expert-level IP connectivity issues regardless of whether they involve IPv4 or IPv6
Resolve expert-level router MQC QoS task analysis and configuration issues
Resolve expert-level multitopic core and advanced task analysis and configuration issues
Importance
The workshop is of utmost importance for all CCIE candidates who need to master the problem-solving techinques for routing and switching at the expert level.
Prerequisite Knowledge
The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are these advanced-level competencies (knowledge and skills):
Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching skills
RIPv2, EIGRP, and OSPF configuration skills
BGP configuration skills
Multicast configuration skills
IPv6 fundamentals

Perform expert-level tasks for route redistribution
Perform expert-level tasks for Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
Perform expert-level tasks for IP multicast
Perform expert-level tasks for IP version 6 unicast connectivity
Perform expert-level tasks for router quality of service (QoS) using the Modular QoS CLI (MQC)
Perform expert-level tasks for Cisco Catalyst 3560 Series QoS
Importance
The workshop is of umost importance to CCIE candidates who need expert-level skills in solving complex network problems in routing and switching.
Prerequisite Knowledge
To gain the prerequisite skills and knowledge, learners must have passed the Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching written exam.
Before taking Cisco 360 CCIE R&S Advanced Workshop 2, learners should be very familiar with the topics covered in Cisco 360 CCIE R&S Advanced Workshop 1. It is also strongly recommended that learners perform two self-paced assessment exams before attending this course. Learners should be able to demonstrate advanced-level competencies (knowledge and skills) equivalent to the following:
Performing expert-level tasks involving Frame Relay and switched Ethernet networks
Performing expert-level tasks involving RIPv2, EIGRP, and OSPF
Performing expert-level tasks for route redistribution
Performing expert-level tasks for BGP
Performing expert-level tasks for IP multicast
Performing expert-level tasks for IPv6 unicast connectivity
